Memoir
Mrs. Sarah Plummer was born May 5, 1842, and died Dec. 6, 1881, in her 40th year. She was the youngest daughter of Randal and Martha Russell, who have not long since passed on, and whom, with her two infant children, she has joined in the spirit land.
She was married to Mr. James Plummer on Jan. 13, 1867, with whom she lived to the time of her death.
She was the mother of 10 children, 8 of whom still survive.
She joined the M.E. Church in January 1868, and from that time she lived a consistent and faithful member to the time of her death. She was a kind and affectionate wife, a tender and loving mother, a good neighbor, and a Christian lady, which is attested by all who knew her.
She bore her last sickness, which was severe and of short duration, with Christian fortitude, looking with bright anticipation to her heavenly home, and finding no friend so dear as her savior. She requested the songs and prayers of her Christian friends, and then after advising her kind and weeping husband and her loving children not to weep for her, she passed off in silence to await their coming.
Ohio Death Index Jackson County lists her cause of death as neuralgia.
