Ruby Marie Olsen, daughter of Neils Hansen & Ane Margrethe(Laugesen) Olsen was born February 12, 1916 in Shelby Co, IA and passed away June 30, 1999 in Holdrege, NE.
On August 23, 1936 she was united in marriage to Dale Willis Christensen. The early years of their marriage were spent in the Walnut area where their three sons, Ronald, Jack and Richard, were born.
Ruby obtained her beautian's license and operated a shop out of her home there.
In 1952 the family moved to Monroe County where daughter, Pamela, was born. For several years Ruby operated a beauty shop in Melrose, later in their farm home.
In 1978 they moved to Russell, spending summer months there and winter months in Mesa, AZ where they especially enjoyed dancing.
In 1995, Ruby moved to the Northridge Living Center and in 1998 to the Methodist Memorial Home in Holdredge, NE where she passed away in 1999.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dale; brother, Helmar Olsen; sisters, Mary Jane Olsen and Agneta Jensen.
Survivors included her four children and their spouses; eight grandchilren; eleven great grandchildren; sisters, Betty Boeck, Darlene Salmarsh and Erma Lee Roenfeld.
