Harvey Foltz Dies at Veterans Hospital

Harvey Foltz, 53-year old veteran of World War I, died at 3:15 o'clock Sunday afternoon in the veterans hospital at Excelsior Springs, Mo. He was taken to the hospital from his home on Thursday of last week.

Harvey was born August 12, 1893, at carl Junction, Mo., and had lived in Cherokee for the past forty years. He was the son of the late Mr. snd Mrs. John Foltz. He was a member of the Christian church, and belonged to the Pittsburg post of the American Legion.

He is survived by the widow, Mrs. Dorthea Foltz of the home, and a sister, Mrs. Ida Stuart of Pittsburg.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist church Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the pastor, Rev. M.G. McIntosh, officiating. Interment was in the Cherokee cemetery.
