in the 27 may 1903 issue of the Leader & Vindicater newspaper , J. C. Bullock has lost 3 grown daughters to Malady Typhoid Pneumonia. They are Mrs. Janie Amerson, w/o M.M. Amerson, Miss Ann Bullock, Mrs. Sallie Hopkins w/o John Hopkins, the article stated that J.C. Bullock, his wife and another grown daughter were also stricken with the same illness. Another article in June states that he & another daughter had died. They were all buried in Wells Cem., Lee County, S.C. (unmarked graves)
