Smiths, Ala - Marie H. Cruit, 76, of Smiths, died Sunday at her home.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus with burial in Parkhill Cemetery, Columbus. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Cruit was born March 4, 1918, in New York City, N.Y., daughter of Helen and Norman Butler. She has been a resident of Smiths since 1990, a homemaker and member of Lamb Baptist Church, Smiths.
Survivors include her husband, Richard; two sons, James Cruit of Smtihs and Richard Cruit of Boynton Beach, Fla; a daughter, Peggy Jones of Smiths; a brother, Arthur Butler of Panama City, Fla; a sister, Dorothy Johnston of Amityville, Long Island, N.Y.; and seven grandchildren.
