Member of I.O.O.F for 50 years and a member of the New Point Masonic Lodge. His life's work included farming and tile manufacturing. He and his wife, Margaret Elizabeth nee Hopper were the parents of Flora A., Marshall G.,known as Grover, (who had a twin brother who died at birth), Jessie P., Charles E., Martha E., known as Ethel, Lillian M., Bertha C., and Alpha L., known as Leone.
