She was born on October 05, 1914 to Robert and Margaret Alzina(Roberts) Fountain.
She was a member of the Tilly Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed working with crafts and going to craft shows where she sold handbags.
Velva is survived by one son, Ray Fountain and wife Ann of Russellville, Arkansas, two daughters, Jessie Shields and husband Glen of Marysville, California, Lenora Carlson and husband David of Augusta, Georgia.
Eight grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, at 2:00 p.m. November 02, 2005 at the Tilly Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Union Hill Cemetery, Tilly, Ar. under the direction of Roller Coffman Funeral Home of Marshall.
Pallbearers are Todd Fountain, Tyler Fountain, Nathan Carlson, Jonathan Carlson, Milburn Small, and Geral Hurley.
