She was born Jan. 20, 1935, in Delmer, Ky., to the late Jesse B. Barker and Annie Crouch Barker, and attended school in Slate Branch, Ky. She resided in Boswell since 1953.
On Dec. 22, 1951, she married Robert Mayfield in Somerset, Ky., and he survives.
Mrs. Mayfield was a homemaker and also helped her husband run Mayfield Antenna for 25 years. She belonged to the former Oxford Baptist Church.
She was an avid NASCAR fan, particularly Dale Earnhardt Sr., and enjoyed gospel music.
Surviving are sons, Chuck Mayfield (wife: Louise) of Indianapolis and Gene Mayfield (wife: Pam) of Greensburg; sisters, Francis Tarter (husband: Earl) of Boswell and Maxine Stevens (husband: James) of Somerset, Ky.; and brothers, Bill Barker (wife: Regina) of Nancy, Ky., and Terry Barker (wife: Jean) of Eubank, Ky.
