Lodie Ellen Tibbits was the second of four children born to Amos & Anna Tibbitts. December 28, 1887 Lodie married Michael Walsh, they were blessed with a son, Harold Eugene, who in 1907, died when he was only 17. Michael Walsh died in 1913. In 1917 Ellen moved to California with her aunt and a cousin. The 3 ladies ran a boarding house. One of their boarders was John Kratz. John & Lodie married about 1921. They were married almost 35 years.
