The Hosington Dispatch 03 Feb 1921

Marvin Earl Allen, son of Roy and Rose Allen, was born at the farm near Galatia, June 20, 1918, and died in the same home at 2 o'clock, Friday morning, January 28, 1921, after two weeks illness of pneumonia, age 2 years, 7 months and 18 days.

He belonged to the Cradle Roll of the Galatia M.E.S.S. and was baptized in the name of the Father, Son and The Holy Ghost.

He was a remarkably bright and loving little fellow and had made for himself so early in life a great many friends. During his illness he was very patient, was conscious all the time and took a lively interest in all the family, all that was going on around him, and in his auntie, who was caring for him through his illness. About five minutes previous to breathing his last, his last words were "Atta Boy," because he had taken his medicine bravely.

He leaves a father, mother, 3 sisters and two brothers, also a number of relatives including one grand father and two grand mothers.

Funeral services were held at Galatia Saturday afternoon and interment was made in Fairview cemetery at that place.

The bereft family has the sympathy of all in the sad loss of their beloved son and brother.
