WALTER ROBERT SPRENKLE, 84, died at the Garlock Convalescent Hospital, Waynesboro, where he had been a guest since June 2. He had been in failing health for the last year.
He was born at Fairfield R. 1, a son of the late Oscar and Eliza Shelley Sprenkle.
He is survived by his widow, Ruth Singer Sprenkle, and these children, Mrs. Ralph Rodecap, Baltimore; Mrs. Arthur Snowberger, Mt. Wolfe; R. Glenn Sprenkle, Kenneth W. Sprenkle, Delbert G. Sprenkle and Wayne S. Sprenkle, all of Waynesboro. Also surviving are eight grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Nellie Sprenkle, and brothers, Fred and Benjamin A. Sprenkle, all of Waynesboro.
Funeral services were held today at the Grove Funeral Home, Waynesboro, with the Rev. D. Perry Bucke officiating. Interment was in Grindstone Hill Cemetery.
