Born Nov. 2, 1941, to Ralph M. and Janice E. (Armstrong) Armentrout, he married Mary Louise Krus on Nov. 10, 1962, in Peoria. She survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Sheila A. (Michael) Lantz of Story, Ark.; a son, James E. (Wendy) Armentrout of Peoria; a sister, Ina May (Lawrence) Baer of Eureka, Ill.; a brother, Alan L. (Helen) Armentrout of North Pekin, Ill.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, a brother and two sisters.
He was a maintenance engineer for Camco Inc. and also worked for Pabst Brewing for 17 years.
Ed was a Boy Scout leader for 50 years, a member of Radnor Rod and Gun Club, Illinois Valley Antique Auto Club and the Crosley Car Club.
Funeral services will be held at Remmert Funeral Home.
