Elbert Raines, 65, of 47 Old Standing Springs Road, died Wednesday, December 26, 2001, at Greenville Memorial Medical Center.

Born in Greenville County, he was a son of the late Odis C. and Myrtie Banks Raines, and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors: two daughters, Mary Katrina and Pamela Michelle Raines, both of Fountain Inn; two sons, Jonathan K. Raines of Gray Court and Elbert Lee Raines of Conestee; four sisters, Ella Mae McKinney of Gray Court, Sarah Carr of Greenville, Juanita Gibson of Fountain Inn and Linda Atwood of Conestee; two brothers, Harold Raines of Conestee and Ernest Raines of Greenville; and four grandchildren, Jessica, Christopher and Jonathan Raines, and Christy Redden. Predeceased by sister, Barbara Nell Wilson; and a brother, Odis C. Raines, Jr.

Service: 11 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church of Conestee, with burial at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

Visitation: 7 to 8:30 p.m. tonight at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest.

Family: 14 6th. Ave., Conestee.
