Well Known Citizen of Brooklyn Township Passes Away
Andrew Albertson, 90, died at 8:15 Tuesday morning, March 21, 1936, at this home near Attica, following a week's illness from arteriosclerosis.
He was a native of Valdris Norway, where he was born March 20, 1846. He came with his parents to this country when he was six years old and they settled in the vicinity of the Norwegian settlement, where he spent practically all his life. On March 4, 1873, he was married to Christiana Jacobson and 23 years were spent on the farm. His wife died Oct. 12, 1928.
Surviving are, one daughter, Mrs. Edwin Lewis, Attica, three sons, Fred, Otis and Gilbert (the latter lives on the old homestead,) eight grandchildren and five great grand children.
He was a member of the Norwegian Lutheran church. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 3 at two p.m. in the Norwegian Lutheran church with the Rev. L. M. Gimmestad officiating. Burial will be in the Norwegian cemetery.
