Obituary-Ray T. Bell
Ray T. Bell, 80, Holton, died Monday, May 10, 1993, at the Holton Hospital.
Mr. Bell was a welder for Standard Oil Co.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II, having served on the USS Fredrick T. Turner a Guam and Guadalcanal in the Pacific.
He was born June 23, 1912, in WaKeeney, the son of Harry E. and Nellie Shell Bell. He spent most of his life in Denison and Arrington communities.
Mr. Bell was a member of First Christian Church in Holton.
He was married to Lula LaVerne Dial May 1, 1954, in Holton. She survives.
Other survivors include four daughters, Darlene Hall, Topeka, Karen Welliever, Holton, Nancy Justice, Havensville, and Vicki Curtis, Arrington; two sons, Thomas L. Bell, Topeka, and Thad W. Bell, Fulton, Mo.; two sisters, Ethel Ray, Holton, and Evelyn Ray, Muscotah; a brother, Ralph Bell, Chico, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 12, at First Christian Church in Holton. Burial was in Holton Cemetery.
Memorials contributions may be made to First Christian Church or Holton Community Hospital Building Fund and sent in care of Denison State Bank in Holton.
