A graduate of Webster Springs HIgh School and Mountain State College, she worked at the West Virginia University Extension Service. During WW II, she worked at the Selective Service Board. She worked 25 years for the DuPont Co. at the Savannah River Plant.
Survivors include daughter, Cindy Niland, Aiken, SC; son, John Niland, Charleston, SC; sister-in-law, Jeanne Hamrick, San Jose, CA; brother-in-law, Kenneth Thompson, Phoenix, AZ; nieces and nephews.
Interment followed funeral services conducted Friday, December 21, 2007.
