ANSELL, Theodore, Sr., born 02-12-1895, Calhoun County, Illinois, died 08-10-1966, buried Oak Grove Cemetery. Funeral services for Theodore Ansell, sr., retired Jerseyville farmer and veteran of World War I, were held Monday afternoon at two o’clock at Jacoby Brothers Funeral Home. Rev. M. Edwards Breed, pastor of the First United Presbyterian Church, officiated and burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery. Services were in charge of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Visitation hours were at the Funeral Home. Mr. Ansell died Saturday morning, October 8, at 3:05, in Jacksonville where he had been hospitalized for eighteen days. His death followed and extended period of ill health. A son of the late John and Ora Hunter Ansell, he was born at Kampsville on December 2, 1895, and his age at the time of death was 70 years, 10 months and 6 days. Mr. Ansell was engaged in farming south of Jerseyville for many years. He was a member of the A.F. & A.M., Royal Arch Masons, American Legion and Presbyterian Church. Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Helen Shriver Ansell, one son, Theodore Ansell, jr., of Jerseyville, two daughters, Mrs Ray (Gwen) Sweetman of Jerseyville . . . . . .

second daughter is Mrs. Charles Kusak, Rennselaer, Ind. Also, a sister, Miss Anna Ansell, Chicago, and a brother, Ellsworth Ansell.
