The death of Charles Biggs, aged fifty-eight years, occurred at his home here shortly after two o'clock last Tuesday afternoon, after a protracted illness. Death was due to arteriosclerosis. He sustained a slight stroke of paralysis some time ago and also suffered from infirmities of a nervous breakdown. Mrs. Biggs was a native of Readington township, and had been a resident of Annandale and its immediate vicinity over twenty-five years. He was a good-natured and generally industrious man, and was well known throughout Hunterdon County. He was married more than thirty years ago to Elizabeth Titus, who survives him, together with one daughter and two sons, Ethel, wife of Irving Apgar, of Bound Brook, and Howard V. and Elmer A. Biggs, both of this town.
Funeral services were held at his residence at two o'clock on Friday afternoon, and were conducted by Rev. Howard R. Ferbeck, pastor of the local Reformed Church. Interment was made in the M. E. cemetery, Lebanon. The pallbearers were Geo W. Astle, Silas W. Eick, Garrett L. Manning, Frank G. Sharp, John W. Sharp and Gabriel L. Smith.
