He was born in Farmington February 9, 1921 to Vincenzo and Giustina Nucci Bigliazzi. He married Shirley Suydam Ross on January 12, 1962 in Farmington.
He is survived by his wife, two sons, Ron (Linda) Ross of Farmington and Gino (Lorraine) Bigliazzi of Carbondale, two daughters, Leigh Ann (Jerry) Smith of Farmington and Shelley (Tom) Kelch of Washington, eleven grandchildren; Jesse and Kelsey Smith, Corey and T. J. Ross, Ted, Jessica, Chance and Brandy Kelch, Sommer Koons, Mallory and Kelsey Leady, two great-grandchildren, Maggie Kelch and Autumn Szabo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Jimmy and Bruno, a sister Elda and an infant sister.
He worked for the Caterpillar Planning Department for 37½ years.
He served in the U. S. Navy aboard the USS Miami during World War II. He was a lifetime member of the DAV, the Farmington Moose Lodge #1571, and the Farmington Legion post #140. He was a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan and he and Shirley belonged to the Chicago Cubs Boosters Club of Peoria. He bowled the first 700 Series (722) at Ace Lanes in Farmington on December 18, 1959. He loved gardening, woodworking and he was an avid sports fan. He was of the Methodist Faith.
Burial of ashes will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Farmington.
