Born to Josiah M. & Emma Alice (Gaylord) Caldwell, the youngest of five children. Was a drum major in the 4th and 26th U.S. Infantry bands from 1897-1925. Married Marie R. Mathisen of Norway and had two daughters, Christina Alice and Anna Marie. Fell down in his home and suffered a cerebral hemorrhage, dying hours later at St. Luke's Hospital. Preceeded in death by parents, brother William Clymer and sister Lottie. Left to mourn are two daughters, Christine Alice (Ernest T.) Cook and Anna M. (Louie) Hydrick. Also two sisters, Cora Quayle and Maud Francis. He is buried without a marker.
