Mildred K Adamson, 75, of 1009 E 10th St., died at 4:18 a.m. Wednesday, Sept 27, 1989, at the Cameron community Hospital in Cameron, Mo., where she had been a patient for 29 days. Prior to that, she had been hospitalized in Mt. Carmel Medical Center and also the KU Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas.
She was born on April 7, 1914, in Frontenac, to Charles Otis and Mary Agnes Morey Piper, and had lived in Pittsburg her entire life.
Her husband, Charles Donald Adamson preceded her in death on Aug. 2, 1965, in Pittsburg.
Mrs. Adamson had worked as a sales clerk for 25 years at the Pittsubrg Jones Store, retiring on Jan. 4, 1976.
Membership was held in the First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by one son, Charles R. Adamson of Cameron; one brother, Robert L. Piper of San Jose, Calif.; one sister, Regina Harmon of Haveloack NC;and two grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Susan Daniel officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery. The family will received friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home, 522 S. Broadway. Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at the funeral home.
