William Bruce Honeyman was the fifth of eight children born to Frances America (Swallow) and William Jackson Honeyman. He was born in New Boston, Illinois but both of his parents had been born in Union County, Indiana. They had emigrated to Illinois in the fall of 1864, with William's father, David and many other family members.
Sometime in the 1870's several Mercer County families went to Harvey County, Kansas, By the 1880 census William and Frances Honeyman are found living with thier family in Emma Township, Harvey County, Kansas as well.
William Bruce Honeyman went to live in Harvey County Kansas as a young man and spent the rest of his life there. He died in 1916 and is buried in the same cemetery in Newton Kansas as his parents and some of his siblings.
