The date listed is the day of burial. No obituary could be located in local Charleston newspapers. Anna was the wife of Albert V. Leppert, her secong marriage, She was born in Springfield, SC. There is no marker for her, unless it is under the bush which sits over her grave. I poked and prodded but did not feel one. She is buried to the far left of the plot.
Her son, Charles, is buried, we beleve, underneth Anna. His interment is listed as a lower interment, as is her daugter, Rosetta, who was buried next to Charles. In 1915, Wilamena Witzel, Anna's mother, was buried in the same grave. Albert Leppert's military stone sits next to Wilamena's to the left. The last grave to the far right is Ernest Otto Dohring, Anna's 13 year old son. No stone could be seen or felt as there is another bush plantd on his grave.

Since vaults were not used in 1905 and coffins were wood they decomposed rapidly due to Charleston being at sea level and the cemetery lying next to the Cooper River.
