Glen or Duck as he was called, was the son of Harry S. and Nora B. Miller Cook and husband of Edith Shane Cook. He was in the Army in World War II for over three years as a Staff Sgt, serving mainly in Germany and Belgium. Before the war, he mostly farmed but after leaving the service, Glen worked as an auto mechanic at a Chevrolet dealership in Council Grove, KS until 1975.
