Tommie Hudson, 86, of Stephenville, TX, retired as a cook after 30 years from Tarleton State University, died Monday, August 8, 2005, at a local nursing home.

He was born to Albert & Lula (Broughton) Hudson on January 1, 1919, in Smith County, TX. He married Pauline Etta Pope on March 25, 1962, at Stephenville, TX. She preceded him in death on March 8, 2002. He was a member of New Bethel CME Methodist Church and was a WWII Army veteran.

Survivors include three daughters: Sherri Hudson Beverly of Stephenville, TX, Terri Hudson Decker of Stephenville, TX, and Tommie Deloris Haslett of KS; one step-son: Johnny Blanford of Amarillo, TX; three step-daughters: Marilyn Woodruff of Radcliff, KY, Elaine Richardson of Santa Maria, CA, and Beatrice High of Denton, TX; eleven grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
