Freeman Howard Brown, 85, a truck driver for an office supply company, passed away Sunday, Oct. 5, 2008, at a local hospital.
Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Greenwood Chapel. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Greenwood Funeral Home.
Freeman was born June 27, 1923, in Fort Worth. He married Saleta Walton on Feb. 7, 1948, at South Fort Worth Baptist Church.
Freeman was preceded in death by his wife, Saleta; sister, Beulah Wiggins; father, John Mathis Brown; mother, Cora Belle Brown; brothers, Everett Mathis and Raymond Marshall "Jack" Brown; and sister-in-law, Nona Vee Walton.
Survivors: Special niece and caregiver, Lori Simpson; sisters, Gracie Hartman of Weatherford, Ruth Mitchell of Stephenville, Geraldine Tucker of Lake Worth and Helen Simpson of Weatherford; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends.
