UVALDE – Funeral services for Mr. and Mrs. John Fields (Jack) Nolen were held at Frazer Funeral Chapel here Thursday. Burial will be in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 10:30 a.m. Friday.
They were killed in a two-car accident near here Tuesday. They had lived at 1700 N. Park St. here. Nolen, 78, was city editor of the San Antonio Light in the 1930's. He had been ranching near here.
Nolen is survived by a sister, Mrs. Maria Houston, Ohio, and two nephews, Harry Burkholter, San Antonio, and Bill Nolen, McAllen. Mrs. Nolen is survived by a nephew, Herman R. Howard, Houston.
