Elmer Floyd Vandeventer, 55, died at 7:05 am Saturday at his home, 630 Acme, after an illness of about four weeks.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:30 pm at the Pearl Street Church of Christ with W. L. Gentry officiating. Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Goen Funeral Home will have charge of arrangements.

A resident of Denton for 24 years, he had worked as a foreman at the Acme Brick Dompany during that time. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He was born in Lee County, Virginia on September 27, 1893.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Marvin of Arizona, Lou of Denton and Elmer of Charleston, South Carolina; four daughters, Mrs. Roy McCleve of Salt Lake City, Utah; Mrs. Clifton Wilson, Denton; Mrs. Clinton Wilson, Denton, Betty Vandeventer, Denton; four sisters, Mrs. Marie Keller, Denton, Mrs. Opal Dooley, Corsicana; Mrs. Minnie Thompson, Gormon and Mrs. Hussie Edens, Saint Jo, Arkansas; three brothers, Baker of Denton, Jim of Arizona and Roy of Garland.
