THE ODEBOLT RECORD - Wed, Nov 27, 1907 - Auburn - Guy Stiltz, the well known pitcher, died at his home in Auburn last Wednesday evening after a several weeks illness of typhoid fever, which he contracted while up in Dakotas in the early fall.
THE Odebolt CHRONICLE - Thu, Nov 28, 1907 - Guy Stiltz of Auburn died of typhoid fever on Wednesday evening of last week, leaving a widow and two children. He was well known in Odebolt, having played frequently with the Auburn ball team against our boys. He was a good man.
November 25, 1897 - Carroll Sentinel - Tuesday Esquire Lynch was summoned post haste to the National house and united Guy Stilts and Miss Effie Carr. The prospective groom would brook no delay and requested that the ceremony be performed without waste of time. The ever accommodating esquire did his best to oblige the young man who appeared to be terribly in earnest. When the ceremony was ended the young man heaved a sigh of relief and a burden of care rolled from his shoulders. He remarked to his bride that "your father may come now as soon as he wishes and he will be welcome." This is all the reporter learned, but we understand the couple returned to their home near Auburn that day ready and willing to be forgiven.
