William "Willie" Harvey Derrick was born 11 Aug 1874 in Arkansas; one of ten children born to Asa Harvey and Eliza Jane (Donnell) Derrick

Willie was united in marriage 22 Sep 1899 in Day County, Oklahoma with Mary Caroline "Carrie" Derrick; the oldest of twelve children born to Levi Feaster and Mary Elizabeth (Foster) Derrick. Carrie's father and Willie's father were brothers, which made them cousins.

Carrie was the widow of Andrew Padgett, who had passed away in 1894 at the age of 20 years. He left behind two small children:

1. Leslie "Les" Levi born 1891 married Daisy Della Dyke
2. Lena Rebecca born 1894 married Forrest James Roach

Carrie and Willie added three more children to the family:

1. Golden (1902-19170
2. Bertha Edith born 1903 married Walter Berdette Buxton
3. Eula Nell "Jake" born 1905 married Andrew A. Bowman

Willie passed away 18 Oct 1929 in Vici, Dewey, Oklahoma at the age of 55 years. He was laid to rest in Vassar Cemetery, Vici, Dewey, Oklahoma.

Carrie passed away 03 Jun 1952 in Vici at the age of 83 years. She was laid to rest in Vassar with her family.
