Marcos "Mec" Magallanes, 18, of Liberal, KS, formerly of Dumas, passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2008 in Liberal. Rosary will be held at 7:00 PM, October 3, 2008 at Morrison Memorial Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 4, 2008 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Fr. Marco Gonzalez, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors.
Marco was born March 16, 1990 in Dumas, Texas to Roberto and Leticia Magallanes. He graduated from Liberal High School with the class of 2008. He worked for Applebee's while in high school. Marco was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and was employed by Key Energy.
Survivors include; his mother, Leticia Magallanes of Mundelein, IL; his father, Roberto Magallanes of Clovis, NM; brother, Oscar Ortiz of Liberal; sisters, Adriana and Angelica Magallanes of Dumas; grandparents, Antonio and Carmen Magallanes of Dumas and Petra Magallanes of Mexico.
