FARMERSBURG. Ind.. Aug 20 — (Special)—Asa Pittman. 84 years old. of Farmersburg, died at 6 o'clock Friday evening at his residence. He was a member of the Methodist Church of Farmersburg and the United Mine Workers of America. Surviving are the widow Ida; a daughter, Mrs Lilian Fidler of Farmersburg; two sons, William and Floyd Pittman, both of Farmersburg; two step-sons, Lester and Glessie Lewellyn, both of Sullivan; a step-daughter, Mrs. Hazel Thomas of Terre Haute; eight grandchildren and seven step-grandchildren, and nine step-great-grandchildren. The body was taken to the Carrithers Funeral Home in Sullivan and returned to the residence where friends may call. Services will be at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Farmersburg Methodist Church. The Rev Kenneth Holdzkum will officiate and burial will be in West Lawn cemetery. The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to services.
