1850: He was 15, living with parents Major & Elizabeth Adair and 6 siblings in Richland, Morgan County, Missouri

1880: He was 34, living with wife Mary, 28, and three daughters Matilda, 6; Nanny K, 4; and Lizzie R., 2 in Jackson, St Clair County, Missouri. He was a wagon maker.

1900: He was 64, living with his daughter Matilda Kennedy, 27, her husband George, 28, their daughter Bessie, 6 and William Adair, 17, in Cherokee, Cherokee County, Kansas.
