On October 3, 2008, Elaine B. Bandley, a warm and always happy earthly angel to all that knew her, took her honored place among the angels and her loving family in heaven. Elaine passed away at her home. She resided at 1922 East Ten North Circle (10 South) in St. George, Utah at the time of her death.

Elaine was born August 18, 1921 in Salt Lake City to George William and Marquerite Smith Burbige. She accompanied her parents to Tahiti where her father was mission president for the LDS Church. She later lived and attended school in the Sugar House area. She married Allen C. Bandley on May 15, 1942. They were the parents of three sons: Steve (Linda), Chris (Tawny) and Scott Bandley and one daughter: Cindy Michelle (Scotty). She had nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She was employed making ammunition for the war effort. Later she worked for many years at Sears in Salt Lake, then C.K. Cummings Candy CO., where she worked until she was 82. She loved to work and she loved her family. Elaine was an active member of the LDS Church.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother Eugene. She is survived by her sister Louise B. (B. Jay) Rencher and brother George S. (Carolyn) Burbige; sisters-in-law Alice Burbige and Ruby Bandley; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved her adopted family, the members of her Red Cliffs 1st Ward and her attentive and caring neighbors. Mrs. B. (as known to family and friends) touched the hearts of all she met. One could never leave her loving home without a hug, a smile and a See's sucker. Her spirit will live on with her family forever. She will be deeply missed.
