Betty passed away at home in Madison, WI. She was born on April 10, 1920 in Freeport, IL to Earl and Mathilda Barth, and relocated to Madison in 1931.
She married Ray A. Schwartz in 1948 and became a devoted wife, and mother to five children. She and her husband were active in founding the Brentwood Neighborhood Association. They were also active in the Boy Scouts of America and members of St. Peter Catholic Church.
She is survived by two sons and their wives, two daughters and their husbands, two brothers and a sister-in-law, four grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; and a daughter, Katherine.
