Edmund T. LeBrun

Ed LeBrun was born August 5, 1908, at Alton, Iowa, the son of Louis and Mary LeBrun. At the age of eight he moved with his family to Dell Rapids by railroad train. He attended St. Mary's Academy.

Ed married Phyllis M. Taylor January 20, 1938, at Garretson. They farmed in the Humboldt – Hartford area for three years. They moved east of Baltic and farmed until retiring in 1969 when they moved to farm west of Dell Rapids. In 1993 he entered Terrace Manor Nursing Home, Dell Rapids.

Ed served on the Dell Raids Creamery Board for several year and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Dell Rapids.

Ed, 85, died Monday, November 15, 1993, at Terrace Manor Nursing Home.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis, Dell Rapids; a daughter, Judy Thompson, and her husband Dale, Garretson; a son, Jim LeBrun, and his wife Mary, Ames, Iowa; six grandchildren: Jean Thompson Williams, Jodie McKee, Julie Thompson, and Laurie, Sara and Jim Ed LeBrun; a great-grandson, Aaron Thompson; a brother, Ernest, Colton; three sister: Margaret Anderson and Marie Olson, both of Sioux Fall, and Edna Wall, Dell Rapids; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
