Tony married Barbara Maxwell. They had six children, five boys and one girl.

Tony served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was in one of the army tanks that were used at the infamous Pork Chop Hill Battles during the spring and summer of 1953.

Tony entered eternal life on February 12, 1984 due to a sudden heart attack. He was 56 years old.
