T/Sgt. Arthur E. Hassler, USAF (Ret), age 95, went to be with his Lord after a brief illness. He enlisted in the USAF prior to the beginning of WWII and was honorably discharged on the 31st day of August, 1961. He was a member of St. Joseph's Benevolent Society, Los Amigos Social Group and was an honorary member of the Holy Spirit Alter Society. He married Veronica Kruse on August 2, 1950 whom preceded him in death; also his parents, Emil and Louise Bartling Hassler and a sister, Erna Hassler Kulow. Arthur is survived by his wife, Ruth Reina Hassler; step-children; numerous nieces and nephews. A Rosary was recited at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, October 5, 2008 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. A Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 6, 2008 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Interment followed at St. Joseph's Society Cemetery.
