Harley M. Silvers, age 74, of Grant St., Whitmire, SC, died October 1, 2008 in the Wallace Thomson Hospital in Union, SC.

He was born in Stecoah, NC, and was the son of the late Thomas B. and Lora Jane Silvers. Mr. Silvers retired from Whitten Center, Clinton, SC, and was a former employee of J.P. Stevens Co. He also attended the Heritage Wesleyan Church and was a US Navy veteran serving in the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Diann S. and Allen Bullard of Alvaton, KY; grandson and wife, Thomas and Lindsay Bullard of Franklin, KY; and two sisters, Edna Melton of Whitmire, SC, and Ada Crowe of Newberry, SC.

He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Shine Silvers and several brothers and sisters.
