MRS. ELIZABETH T. BEATTY
Mrs. Elizabeth Teichman Beatty, 51, wife of John Beatty of Jessup, died at her home Thursday night at 8:30 p.m.
Besides the husband, she is survived by sister, Mrs. Henrietta Bartlett of Los Angeles, Cal., and one brother, Charles Andrews of Grayville, Illinois.
The funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Liberty church at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Siferd of Rosedale officiating. Burial in the Forks of the Creek cemetery.
Note: Although gravestone reads 1876, this must be an error as her obituary stated she was 51. She would have been born in 1879 not 1876.
Biography of Elizabeth Andres Teichman Beatty
Elizabeth was born on June 5, 1879 in Kentucky (probably Meade, Kentucky, since this is where her parents were living before coming to Indiana). On September 12, 1829, in Vigo, Indiana, she married George Teichman, son of Louis and Minnie Kleech Teichman. George died the same year. Shortly after that, Elizabeth married John William Beatty, son of David and Mary Sarah Lewis Beatty. Sadly, Elizabeth passed away that same year, 1930. She was laid to rest at Adams Cemetery and a triple stone marks her grave as well as that of her spouse John and his wife Annice. No children were born from her union to George or John.
