Surviving are his wife of Altoona; two daughters: Paula Truby and Terri Jacobs, both of Altoona; a son, J. Christopher Wesner of Altoona; five grandchildren; and two brothers: Donald Wesner of Roaring Spring and James Wesner of Altoona.
Paul was a member of Pleasant Valley Assembly of God. He retired as a plumber from Local Union 354 of the Plumbers and Pipe Fitters in 1991 after 31 years of service. He was a 1951 graduate of Altoona High School. Paul enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mr. Wesner was a former board member of the Blair County Association for the Blind.
Friends will be received from 4 to 6 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Sept. 22, 2008, at Myers-Somers Funeral Home Inc., 501 Sixth Ave., Altoona. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2008, at the funeral home with Pastor Lou Hileman officiating. Interment at Alto Reste Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Blair County Association for the Blind, 300 Fifth Ave., Altoona, PA 16602 or to the National Parkinson Foundation, 1501 N.W. Ninth Ave., Miami, FL 33136.
