Fontella worked for the Uintah School District as a cook and a unit kitchen manager for 35 years and was well known for her culinary talents. Fontella loved flowers and gardening and always had a beautiful yard even in her later years. She loved to crochet and made doilies for all of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and for numerous friends. She was quite a seamstress and could sew clothes without a pattern. With her talents and personality, Fontella brought so much beauty to all who knew her.
Fontella is survived by two daughters, Elaine Woolley of Vernal, and Carma (Keith) Hartle of Lapoint; son-in-law, Gene Nyberg of Lapoint; 10 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great grandchildren; and one sister, Edna of Mt. Emmons.
Fontella is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harvey; their daughter, Beulah Nyberg; son-in-law, Max Woolley; grandson, Duane Hartle; great-granddaughter, Kimberly Barnes; and nine brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 30, in the Lapoint Ward Chapel. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the services.
Interment will be in the Lapoint Cemetery under the direction of the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
