Taken prisoner at Harper's Ferry and paroled. Wounded in left arm at the BATTLE OF GETTYSBURG; hospitalized in Newark Hospital until November. At the Battle of the WILDERNESS, he was wounded in his left leg.
Honorably discharged October 1865.
