Mrs. Lindley Is Dead at 79

INDEPENDENCE (JNS) - Mrs. Mildred Lindley, 79, died unexpectedly at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ted Philo, Route 1, Cedar Vale at 7:45 p.m. Saturday. Mrs. Lindley made her home in Independence.

Born in 1880 in Indiana, she came to Independence when she was eight years old. In September, 1899, she married Scott E. Lindley at Independence. They lived in Bolton and later moved to Independence.

Mrs. Lindley is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Philo, and Mrs. Osa Chaffin, Yates Center: nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Potts Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert L. Moreland officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
