Son of Elmer Everett Lamb and Nancy Isabelle (Belle) Smith. Earl was raised in and around Chillicothe, MO. He went to Washington state in 1936. When war broke out, he joined the Washington National Guard. He was a decorated veteran of World War II. He also had been a warehouse manager for a grocery supple store. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post
No.4072. And a retired member of the Teamsters Union in Yakima. He was of the Baptist faith.

Upon returning to Mo, after a bout with Malaria Fever, he returned to Washington with Marcelle Sweem where they were married on August 7, 1944 in Ellensburg, Washington. They lived in the Yakima Valley until, 1975 when they moved to Quartzsite, AZ. Then to Hamilton, Mo in 1991. Marcelle preceded him in death in Nov, 1992. He was also preceded in death by his parents, one sister and six brothers

Surviving are a son, Rick of Lewiston,ID; three daughters, Rose Mann of Boonville, Peggy Swafford of Hamilton, Mo and Nancy Nunn of Omaha, NE; a brother, Harry of Galt, MO; a sister, Neva Dittmar of Agency, MO; twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren

A memorial service was held on Feb 26, 1993 at Bram Funeral Home, Hamilton, MO. The body had been cremated. Inurnment was in Highland Cemetery, Hamilton, MO
