HENRY LAMB DIES EARLY SATURDAY
Passed Away at His Home on First Street Following Long Illness: Funeral Monday.

Henry Lamb, one of Chillicothe's pioneer citizens,, died Saturday morning at 3:40 o'clock at his home, 1021 First street, following a long illness. The body is at the Norman Funeral Home, from which place funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 1 o'clock, conducted by Rev. W.H. Brengle, pastor of the First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Edgewood.

Henry Lamb was born in Marshall, Ia., May 28,1862. He came to Chillicothe, Mo., when a small child. He was united in marriage to Miss Eliza Simpkins in 1888. To this union were born five children, two of whom, with Eliza Lamb, survive. They are Harry and Elmer. Nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild, and three brothers, Porter Lamb, William Lamb and Ernest Lamb, survive.

For several years Henry Lamb was in charge of the meat department at the McBride grocery store on South Washington Street, but was compelled to give up his work on account of ill health.
