Elmer Everett Lamb, 128 Graves Street, 77 year-old Chillicothe resident died at 12:35 AM ,June 6th, this morning at Sisters Hospital in St. Joseph, where he had been a patient four weeks. He had been in failing health six years and critically ill the last two weeks.

Funeral services will be held at 2 O'clock Thursday afternoon at the First Baptist church with Rev Donald Palmer pastor officiating. Burial will be in the family lot at Edgewood Cemetery.

The body will lie in state at the Norman Funeral Home until noon Thursday at which time it will be removed to the church to lie in state until the hour of the service.

Mr Lamb was a member of the First Baptist Church. He attended school in Chillicothe. Before retiring he was employed by Swift and Co. and also engaged in farming. He resided his lifetime in Chillicothe with the exception of eight years in St. Louis where he was employed by the Fairbanks Morse Co.

Elmer E Lamb, a son of Henry L Lamb and Eliza Jane (Simpkins)Lamb. He was born July 14, 1889 in Chillicothe. On April 3,1909, he married Miss Belle N. Smith in Chillicothe. Mrs Lamb died July 24, 1964.

He leaves seven sons, Everett, Chillicothe, Carl, Richmond Cal, Earl, Yakima, Wash, Russell, Ludlow, Mo, Wayne, Layton, Utah, James, McPherson, Kan., and Harry, Gallatin, Mo., two daughters, Mrs. Doris Pratt, Breckenridge, Mo., and Mrs Neva Dittmar, Agency, Mo., 20 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a infant son, Paul Lamb, three brothers and one sister.

Nancy Isabelle 'Belle' Smith,
daughter of Joel Fredrick Smith and Tabitha Jane Ball Smith. To this union was born: Everett Elmer Lamb, Carl Raymond Lamb, Fredrick Earl Lamb, Paul Melvin Lamb, Russell Liberty Lamb, Doris Edith Lamb, Warren Wayne Lamb, James Cecil Lamb, Harry Burton Lamb, and Neva Marie Lamb. Preceded in death three brothers, Clarence, Virgil and Harry. One son Paul, one sister, May, and one grand daughter, Connie Lou Lamb
