OBITUARY FOR HAROLD M. LANDON

Harold M. Landon, age 70, of 2034 Roosevelt Road, was dead on arrival at 8:20 P.M., Monday, at St. Joseph Hospital. A retired manager of the Montgomery Ward Store in Plymouth, Indiana in 1961. He was born in Isabella County, Michigan, January 29, 1893, the son of Palmer and Mary E. (Hall) Landon, of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan.
He married Marie E. Moore, who was a student at the time of the marriage, on December 12, 1911, in Mt. Pleasant (Isabella County), Michigan and following his divorce from her, he married Alice Mae McNinch in July of 1952, in Angola, Indiana.
He was a member of the Golden Rule Lodge, #159, F&AM, in Adrian, Michigan, the Centre Township Gleaners Society and the St. Joseph County Horticultural Society.
Friends may call the Hollis Funeral Home, where services will be held on Thursday at 2:00 P.M. with the Reverend Joe Day, pastor of the Community Baptist Church officiating, with burial in the South lawn Cemetery in St. Joseph County, Indiana.
He is survived by his wife, Alice, of South Bend; a foster daughter, Mrs. Lucille McCarthy, of Augusta, Georgia and three daughters, Mrs. Betty Moders and Mrs. Dorothy Woodward, both of Midland, Michigan and Mrs. Helen Butts, of Lansing, Michigan.
