Azalee Alice Browne, 70, died on Monday March 15, 1999, in Vancore Hospital, Green Cove Springs. She was a native of Rutherford, NC, and had lived in Macclenny for the past twelve years. She is preceded in death by her husband, James. Survivors include her sister, Emily Hutchins of Rutherford, NC; niece, Nellie Mozell Byrd of Franklin, TN; nephews, Dr. James Preston Byrd of Franklin, TN and Norman Dale Byrd of Rutherford, NC. Funeral services will be held on Thursday March 18, at 11 A.M. in the chapel of Fraser Funeral Home, 712 S. 6th St., Macclenny, with Rev. Alan B. Jung officiating. Interment will follow in Holly Hill Cemetery, Middleburg. The visitation will be held on Wednesday, today, from 7pm until 9pm at the funeral home.
