Laura Ann (Olar) Robbins was my great-great-grandmother. She was the daughter of Jacob Olar (born in Switzerland) and Mary Ann (Hallet) Olar. Laura married Slyvanus Lincoln Robbins in the 1860's, and together they raised 10 children. They made their home at 42 Union Street, Yarmouth, MA, circa 1887. The house was already very old at that time, and is still standing (in September of 2008 a significant restoration was nearing completion). Laura lived in the house until her death in 1934. In her later years she was cared for by her daughter Nellie Crowell(Robbins)(Mulcahy)Fleck, my great-grandmother.
